What happens to an Instagram request

FrameFlow validates the public Instagram host, applies abuse and capacity limits, and creates a protected temporary job. The remote source and generated output are normally scheduled for deletion within 30 minutes and are not added to a public media library.

FrameFlow does not request account passwords, cookies, session tokens, or private-account access. A link can still fail when the source is removed, restricted, delivered differently to an unauthenticated service, or exceeds a current production limit.

How local video-to-image processing differs

Compatible local files are opened with a temporary browser object URL and decoded on the device. Selected timestamps are drawn to a canvas and encoded as PNG, JPEG, or WebP. The file contents are not submitted to the Instagram extraction API.

The current local workflow accepts files up to 250 MB, creates at most 24 preview frames per run, and limits a browser-generated ZIP to 64 MB. These safeguards reduce crashes on phones and memory-constrained devices.

Choose settings based on the final use

Start with a two-second interval for an ordinary short clip. Use 0.5 or one second when action changes quickly, and five or ten seconds when you need a broad visual index of a longer video. A shorter interval creates more near-duplicates and cannot repair motion blur already present in the source.

Choose PNG for slides, interfaces, and small text; JPEG for smaller photographic images; or WebP for compact modern web delivery. Full HD output respects smaller sources and does not invent detail lost through focus, capture resolution, or compression.
